Is it possible to show the clip duration in real-time on the DVX200 display?

Two quick questions...

1. As the DVX200 is recording a clip, is it possible to show the running duration of that clip on screen?

To be clear, I am not referring to a hardcoded time stamp, but something like "2 min, 43 s" overlaid on the screen that updates every second.

2. By default, the DVX200 display shows the amount of time that is remaining on the SD card. Is it possible to show the total runtime of the material that has already been recorded on the SD card?

I realize that I can arrive at this figure by subtracting the current remaining figure from the initial remaining figure that is showed when the card is empty. But, it would be more convenient to not have to do the math every time (because I am pretty sure that the answer to my first question is "no").

Thank you.

Hi Dapple,

1st Question. Open the playback cover on the top left of the camera. The "counter" button, when pressed, will alternate between off, TC and SCN, which of course means Scene, and will give you the length of the current scene being recorded that you are looking for. Also in the Display Setup in the Menu, the Rec Counter must be set to Scene, not Total.

Number 2. question I 'm pretty sure you can't change it.

Cheers,

Vaughan
