Is it possible to raise AF100 FPS w/ Firmware upgrade?

Was wondering if it was even technically possible for the AF100 to shoot at a higher frame rate such as 120-240fps with a firmware update?

No other camera has ever managed it with just a firmware update, so I would say no.
High speed cameras need a lot of development, not just a bit of a tweak. (and Panasonic isn't known for adding functions to cameras - still don't have 1:1 focus zoom in)

Framerates are governed by a combination of the raster rate on the sensor and the speed of the DSP computer/encoding software.
Sometimes a small jump (like 24 to 30) can be accomplished with firmware .. but a jump higher than the native
raster rate is basically impossible without new hardware.

Like so many people here like to tell me every time I bring up firmware and the AF100......."ain't gonna happen".

MAN I wish Panasonic would follow Sony's lead; they're on like what, the 3rd iteration now for both the F3 and the FS100 of soliciting input and feedback from customers, then actually adding new desired and requested features to the existing camera in new firmware a few months later.

Panasonic is funny like that- they want input when designing a camera (several of the AF's features came from these forums), but after it's built- not so much. They are good about bug fixes and lens updates, but added features? Don't count on it. Would love to proven wrong though.
