Is it possible to "dial in" a white balance?

Does anyone know if it is possible to "dial in" a white balance setting? On all professional Sony cameras you can "dial in" a white balance setting via the menu. This is very handy when you have a lot of experience and want to do a quick setting on a multicamera setup.

Or if you want to warm up the scene a little bit.

Can you dial in a setting like 4800K on the HPX500 as well?

I didn't see a menu setting for that but maybe I'm blind ;)

Regards

No, it doesn't have the ability to set the WB to a specific temperature. It will report the temperature, but it doesn't let you set it. If you want to fine-tune, you'd probably need a set of warm cards.

Now, you *can* adjust the WB in a sort of similar way to warm cards, but you won't know the exact white balance temperature you're set to. Use the Color Temp setting to warm up or cool off your white balance.

Thanks for your answers. I thought I'd missed the menu setting.

You can only do color correction in post to a specific level. Because of the 4:2:2 sampling there isn't much room for it. So the source material should look almost perfect.

The 4:2:2 isn't really the problem, as much as the 8bit's of it vs 10. If it were 4:2:2 but 10 bit, you'd have much more room for color correction.
