Is it just me or is auto-iso disabled in slog2?

I was doing an exterior to interior steadicam shot the other day with the fs700 and 7q and thought I would get the auto-iso to help me transition exposure nicely between exterior to interior in the same shot. (I've done this trick before on other picture profiles without issue.) Yet I was surprised to see that when switching to auto-iso on the slog2 picture profile, the camera just stubbornly stayed at iso 2000 indefinitely.

Luckily the lattitude in the 2k raw saved my bacon and an exposure ramp in post worked quite well.

Anyone else getting this? Has Sony disabled auto-iso with this picture profile?

And on a side note, where the hell is the fs700 manual online?! I was never given an updated manual when the service centre upgraded my camera to 4k and from what I can tell, Sony doesn't host manuals online at all!

Thanks Cuervo, but that's a pre-slog2 handbook. I'm sure I saw someone had uploaded a couple of addendum pages to the fs700 manual once the Sony upgrade was rolling out in service centres, but I can't believe how hard this thing is to find!
Just curious to see if this disabled auto-iso in slog2 is a documented thing or not and if there is a reason it doesn't work.

Scratch that, just did a test in an abnormally dark room and then finally the auto-iso kicked in. But it's super dark! It always seems to be choosing an iso that is wwaaayy left on the histogram for some odd reason which is why it didn't appear to be working in semi-okay exposure conditions on my last shoot. It has to be super dark before it starts kicking up the next ISO where it still remains super dark. Hmmmm....

Check that Auto ISO/Gain Limit is off, also use the AE Shift to increase the exposure point.

I agree the manuals and software are hard to find sometimes but the manual addendum you want is here:

https://www.servicesplus.sel.sony.com/sony-operation-manual.aspx

search for FS700 and the part no is 4-477-021-01(1) it's in several languages.

HTH?

Stuart has it right. Your auto-ISO limit is probably set to 2500 or 5000 max because of noise on the other pp's. Raise it to 10,000 or 20,000.
