Is industry moving to fast?

I see bugs. Bugs everywhere.

Black hole and overheating issues on A7SII, shutter and countless freeze bugs on FS7, missing frames on C300II, Odyssey 7Q bugs (with every firmware different ones), PP15 total performance disaster, MacBook Pro's Cuda issues, each new OS X less stable...
Those are the things most related to me at the moment, but just look everywhere: Android security holes, leaking sensitive data on this and that service, Toyota Prius acceleration bug (do you remember that?!)...

Ok, that might be just examples but when you look on the overall picture you will see that the whole digital world is developing faster at a cost of stability and reliability. I believe this is due to the new coding methodologies aimed at speeding up coding. Less time for beta testing, less responsibility for written code. I know what I'm talking about because I'm from IT industry.

Now, this leaves me with a question. What will happen next? Do we really need to meet with some massive digital disaster to start questioning our dependability on it? Or demand better beta testing guaranteed by some certificating?

Well it might sounds like a panic thread but it really isn't. It's a question to myself and to others how can we influence digital development.

Nah... It's always been this way.
Every system always had some disappointment or something that was deficient.

I actually think it's going the opposite way.
Most issues are permanently gone.

Even the black hole sun is something that is corrected LITERALLY with a mouse click in today's editing and color correction programs.

How do you measure such a thing? I don't know. It's a truism that as the complexity of a system goes up, so do chances of failure, including bugs of all kinds. I don't know if there are more of them relative to the complexity of the system today compared to the past, so all anyone can do is answer with anecdotal impressions for what that's worth - and I don't know what that's worth, frankly.
