Is Final Cut Pro 3 compatible with the DVX100a?

Hey There... I have a question...
I have Final Cut 3 and I tried to capture footage from my DVX100a (shot at 24p) but the software captures the footage at the normal rate of 30fps.  I tried to change the settings so the timeline will work at 24fps and recapture the footage, but the images play out of synch with the audio... Is there anyway I can set the system so it will recognize the footage at 24fps or my only solution would be to upgrade to Final Cut 4?

FCP3 does not work natively with the DVX100 camera. FCP4 introduced that capability when shooting the ADVANCED mode. For FCP3 you can shoot normal and reverse telecine using CinemaTools (get one generation hit from the decompress/recompress) or purchase DVFilm Maker for $95 to reverse telecine ADVANCED footage. v.2.0 was just released: http://www.dvfilm.com/
