HMC w tapes..JPG

Considering that on that page they're advertising an HMC package that includes "tapes," I'd say they aren't legit and you probably shouldn't buy from them.

the prices of these cameras is more or less fixed (+ or - $100 or so here or there or maybe bundle changes for various seasonal or excess inventory promotions)
so ANY merchant that advertises a SIGNIFICANTLY ($200, $500 or more lower) lower price is at best selling gray market gear and at worst a total scam.

so save the time that you'll waste looking for a cheaper deal. buy from a professionally recognized, authorized dealer.

Big time bait & switch - details below - order at your own risk
price of professional camera on their website was 1/3 or so lower than any other offered
this camera was just like one we already had and used professionally in making episodes for television
upon order - email - must contact them first
called - told that camera is old, not new technology - better upto date camera, higher price but throwed in all extras, battery, etc-told would fill need of professional use
ordered substitute camera- was not professional quality, way over priced compared to other reputable companies
called - want what orig. ordered - oh' at that price, it is a plastic lens, not glass, and to get what you have - way more cost - so will exchange for cheap one we got first shipped
later called panasonic - they do not make the model with a plastic lens, and camera is not 'out of date'
with exchange, restocking fee 10% $350 -
when complained and hour on phone that restocking fee would not be necessary had they not misrepresented the cheap replacement sent.
finally offered to give credit on credit card for original purchase and would send a professional mic worth $350 -but had to send check - no credit card (I am sure so we could not challenge fraudulent purchase) to get credit and mic.
told had to be professional for use in television and had to have XLR jack to work with camera that we had and were getting elsewhere now
rec'd mic --wass not professional model, did not have XLR Jack as represented.- available on web for under $100
further attempts to return mic and get refund of $350 unsuccessful
Big time bait and switch, not once but twice.

Wow. I just spend 20 minutes reading bad reviews on that site... It was fun, but totally distracting from my editing project.

Side note: If you are looking to buy an HMC150 feel free to PM me. I will be selling me later this month.
