Is anyone having trouble playing back their files in VLC ?

I used to have a 5D MK II and a 7D, all my H.264 files played back just fine in VLC. But now, a year later, the first time I've had to play some H.264 footage (5D3 files), it plays the audio but the screen is greyed out. This happened on more than one computer. Pretty much just gives me an error saying it doesn't support H.264, which it of course does.

Anybody else experience this?

I use VLC to play back 5D3 files on Win7x64 (as I have renamed them from MOV to MPG to play in real-time in PPro CS5.5 (not a problem in CS5)). Using VLC 1.1.0. Windows Media Player has no trouble playing back the MOV files.
Just tested ALL-I with VLC: no video. Another reason to avoid ALL-I (IPB is higher quality (after extensive tests and analysis)). IPB plays fine in VLC.
