The sensor size will be 4/3", which is 4 times larger (in the diagonal dimension) than the 1/3" sensors in the HMC150 (and just about every other quality HD cam out there). So, while it certainly won't have the DOF of the 5DMkII, it will definitely have a much better DOF than the HMC150. It has 4-channel processing, which is better than the Rebel T1i's 2-channel processing (the 5DMkII has 4 channels as well). I don't pretend to know what that means, but I do know that that will produce better images than 2-channel processing.
Also, with an adaptor, one will be able to use all that wonderful Canon glass. The crop factor (or magnification factor) is 2, so wide angle lenses would have to be limited to Four Thirds lenses. But, for around $1500, this looks like it will be a very popular cam.
In fact, I may use it as my main cam in addition to my 150 as the wide cam. Of course, I'll have to see how it works first, but this could be the ticket to being able to get nice artsy shots in addition to being able to handle more mundane shots with the workhorse 150.
