Is a software upgrade required to use 32GB P2 cards?

I have an HVX-200 that came with an 8GB card. When the 16GB cards came out, I did a software upgrade to use them.
Is an upgrade required to use 32GB or 64GB cards? Have a shoot coming up and pressed for time to get to rental shop
and test before then.

Yes and no. No upgrade is required for 32 or 64 R-series or A-series cards, but an upgrade is probably required for the E-series cards (regardless of their size).
