Is a SanDisk Ultra 32G Class 4 SDHC Card good enough for this camera?

Hi and thank you for reading this.

Is a SanDisk Ultra 32G Class 4 SDHC Card good enough for this camera?

I bought the camera on amazon and that's what they recommended, there are some transcend class 6 but I hear that they are slower than the Sandisk class 4 is that true?

I have to make a decision whether to return the class 4 or keep it. (Note the Manual says that Class 4 is good enough for the maximum 24mbps).

Thank you

Pablo

yeah, according to user manual class 4 is the minimum recommended and should work fine, I purchased class 6 cards in order to have faster transfers to computer.

you would be better off with a pair of 16GB Class 6's, but thats my opinion. i will say this about Sandisk; a few months back i came back from a photoshoot where i was teaching a few of my friends how to use their DSLR's, and i had a mixture of SD and CF cards in my cargo pants pocket, 3-4 different brands.

we were shooting a mixture of 4wheelers, trucks/jeeps/FJ's, and motorcycles off-roading for an ATV park. my clothes were filthy, and my fiancee tossed my pants in the sink to rinse them off, then in the washer, then in the dryer. I was horrified. Out of the 9 memory cards i picked out of the dryer, only 2 worked and still work flawlessly; both were the Sandisks. One Lexar worked for about a day, then died.

I only buy Sandisk now.

Thanks guys based on what you are telling me I can still get the maximum quality image with no artifacts out of a SANDISK class 4 the only difference being the transfer to my computer and the fact that I can rinse the card in my washer.

Thanks again

lmao yeah in case the label gets a little dirty you can always wash it off

I've had the exact opposite of luck with Sandisk. My Sandisks got soaked along with my Lexars are my Lexars handled it like champs. Still working today. My two Sandisk SDHC cards won't record anything anymore but my Lexar Class 4, Class 6, and Class 10 16GB cards are champs.

Lexar is the only brand I buy now. Well, no, that's not true... I would still buy Transcend if I was on a budget and I suppose I'd buy Sandisk too because I know they are great quality and tossing cards down waterslides or into ponds and lakes isn't something I *normally* do, lol.
