Is a PCS060 useful anymore for large P2 cards?

I just managed to buy an AJ-PCS060g for less than the straight card reader costs. OK, I thought, 60 gigs isn't much any more, but being able to offload in the field could be helpful. I saw a comment somewhere that these aren't much good if you use 32 gig cards, but I thought the commenter was simply observing that it cannot accept two full cards. But did he really mean that it won't read a 32 gig card at all?

When I try to transfer from a 32 gig card I get the "too full" error message. It works fine from a 4 gig card. I've been searching around looking for a direct answer to this question, but I can't find one here so I'll ask. Is there a card size limit with this device?

Is there a software update of some sort from Panasonic that might help? Can I at least read a 32 gig card even if I don't transfer it to the HDD? Should I start buying smaller cards? Yuck. Who's still using this gadget?

Thanks.

With the updated firmware, it will work fine with the larger cards.

The "cheapo laptop" solution is not right for everyone.

A used P2 Store is still an excellent purchase if you'd like a card reader that also stores the contents of THREE 16 GIG CARDS.
Also, since it's powered by Panasonic batteries, it doesn't tie up two USB ports like the card reader does.
