Is a Canon 5D Mark II a better match than GH1 for AF100?

It was recently suggested that a Canon 5D Mark II be used to accompany an AF100 on a shoot because there would be a better color match vs. using a GH1 with the AF100. Is there any information substantiating this? I would think that being the GH1 and AF100 are more similar and from the same manufacturer (using the same 14-140 HD Vario lenses) that they'd likely be a better match, but I also didn't want to presume so. So I seek out the wisdom of the smarter folks. Hopefully there's so hard facts to go with it.

Thanks.

If I shoot flat, have some decent cine-lenses (not an f stop in sight) and white balance, my experience is that it doesn't really matter too much what cameras I use on a multi-cam shoot.

The flip side of the coin can be seen here: https://vimeo.com/paulrwalker/review/84450947/58423b5de9

We pulled out some random lenses, forgot to white balance and while Pete pulled some beautiful Nikon glass onto his D800, I embarrassingly popped a cheap 30mm lens (f-stop, not t-stop) onto my little VG10. I was shooting at 30p, Pete at 23.97 so it couldn't have been more different.

So, two completely different cameras from two different manufacturers with slightly coloured photographic lenses shooting at different fps, white balanced at different levels. It couldn't have been worse and the results aren't great but this is about as different as it gets. And what's surprising is it's not hugely different. Frankly, if I'd spent time in post, I could've balanced them a little closer but with the kind of kit you're suggesting, if you pay attention to what you're doing I don't really see an issue.

Or maybe I'm writing complete nonsense. Happy to be corrected.

THere is only one way to get the information you seek.

Do a test.

Its impossible to quantify in hard facts in any valid way apart from viewing results side by side and then taking the sources thru a post workflow.

recently I purchased a few Micro 4/3 lenses and the seller threw in a second hand GH1, I did a few quick and dirty tests and i am still tweaking setting but after a little post here are the results.
One is shot with an AF101 the other is the GH1.
