Is 24 p a problem in pal-land? i besids framrates ? Iam more thinking of other problems , is there any? can lightning from readheads, kinoflos etc cause problems? i was shooting the other day with this lightning and some takes looks a bit "strobish" not much but you will notice, i was shooting at 1/50 but som takes were maby set to 1/30 buy misstake (not shure, can i check that afterwards?). we were also shoting with gh13 at the same time and it alomost looks smoother. So is there problems for 24 p in pal-land besides the framerat problem (which easy solve in media composer)

Discharge lighting, various types of TVs and other displays can flicker. TFTs and plasma screens often shimmer or pulsate at any frame rate. Things like Kinos and decent HMIs are designed not to cause these problems at any normal frame rate anyway.

The main problem is just being compatible with the rest of production infrastructure - monitoring, sound people, making viewing copies, etc. Yes, you can to some extent get around these - every theatrically released feature shot in the UK (yes, both of them!) does so - but many independent films in the UK shoot at 25 because of the conveniences you get.

To be fair these are dwindling to a certain extent, since we're not talking about shooting film and cutting on PAL video, but they still exist and in that situation it's just crazy to accept such a daft limitation.
