Iron Sky

I don't know, I thought it looking interesting. Certainly pretty good CGI for what is surely low budget (I didn't read anything on the page). As a trailer it had a cool short-story feel. I don't think a feature would hold up though...

I liked it when it was taking itself seriously. Then at the end there's that gag with the pigeon and I started to worry about this being stupid camp. Oh well.

I don't know why, but I think that logline is awesome. The story seems like a pretty interesting idea, you'd just have to find a way to execute it properly to make a good feature, and I'm not sure if this is quite it.

I like the visuals combining sci-fi and 30s style.

But it seems a little goofy. The whole inventing anti-gravity and flying to the moon part.

"I thought the whole time, why did someone put so much effort in such a stupid story?"

agree 100%, a missed opportunity, could have been a great sci fi movie, instead its a bit of a turkey.

That's rich coming from a vulture...

I liked the film... needed a bit more female nudity... a la "Starship Troopers"... but I also viewed it as a 'camp' movie... (It even has Udo Kier spitting up blood... reprising his Dracula role of yore...)...

From boxofficemojo the film made far more outside the US than inside, with about $8M. No budget is listed, so one can't 'rate' on RoI...

From the http://www.ironsky.net/site/support/finance/ it seems about 1.2M Euros came form 'crowd' sources, and 6.3M state and traditional film financing.

So, depending on how the dollar <--> euro compares, it seems that it nearly broke even.
