Iron Man 3 -- directed and co-written by Shane Black

Man they get everything first overseas. I think Americans and Canadians need to start out-pirating the Asians and Australians so we'll get movies first again.

Movie was fun! Shane Black did a great job. I have my quibbles but overall it was a great time at the movies...now if only we can get teenagers to shut up.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Definitely the funniest of the Marvel movies thus far. Some good action and great effects. RDJ at the top of his game. Overall a winner.

Thought the movie wasnt bad but by all means not good. It seems that they have no where else to go with IM. Its been the same movie as the first.
Biggest travesty was they turned IM main foe into a joke.
I mean, can u imagine DC doing this to Joker?

I enjoyed it. Better than 2 but the first one is still the best to me. It was really a fun ride like others mentioned. Don't know anything about the original comics so I can't commen ton the Mandarin dude but my friend was shock about what they did to him.

But one thing I'm not sure if I like or didn't was the fact it seemed like Iron man wasn't that Iron after all, those suits felft and behaved cheap, every other second one of them was being destroyed or breaking down.. but whatever it was a fun movie.

I had fun seeing it and I love that they concentrate on RDJ more than being in the suit, but I was still surprised that the suits felt a bit cheap...so many of them and so breakable, was weird after all we've seen him do in the past.

A couple of points... one suit in particular was a prototype, and as such, was not 'guaranteed' to work... but Stark would use it anyway... The fact that the suit was 'Mark 42'... suggests that there were many different ideas... which of course did not work out...

If you look to the wiki on 'x plane' types, there are 56 listed... some are super 'jets' some are other types of vehicles... one in particular, the X-15, did get a certain amount of press... but many never moved on to 'production'...

I think the Iron Man suits are giving a nod to that sort of thing.

Yeah sadly this was a little disappointing. Loved the first Iron Man, scratched my head at the second and thought they'd make up for it here but it just didn't come through. Everything was just a little too comical for humor's sake, really took me out of the superhero mindset. While it's good to have humor (Avengers executed this PERFECTLY), this just kind of felt cheap in all honesty. I would love to see a full-on Joss Whedon Iron Man film. It's too bad... seriously wanted to like this.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts exactly.

It is a great movie of 2013 and till now its gross rate is on the top as compare to other Hollywood movies. Me also just love this movie series and now its third part which is in 3D in just awesome.

I thought it was fine; I was entertained. But given the universe they've built, I kept wondering why he was doing it alone. It's not like it was a personal mission. Where was SHIELD, let alone the rest of the Avengers?

+1

I thought it was (barely) exceptionally average.

I really enjoyed it, especially the humour. I don't think Iron Man purist will enjoy it as much. The trailers were very misleading. It made it appear a lot darker than it actually was.

Star Trek was better, just saw Iron Man 3 today. It felt part Terminator, part Die Hard and a little silly in some moments. I thought Ben Kingsely was great, but I didn't laugh nearly as much Star Trek. I think Jr. was right when talking about not doing any more IM movies. And Cheadle just took a paycheck - just too long and rambly.

SPOILER ALERT

And when the female botanist just out of nowhere threatens to kill herself, terrible writing.

Save your money, I only wanted to see it in the theater because I thought it would be so visually amazing - meh. I am not some purist - never read the comics. If you are looking for popcorn and coca cola type entertainment see Trek. And ya the purists hate Trek but it was entertaining.
