Iris wont disengage

It only happens ever once in a while but when i switch my EX on the iris, even though its set on manual mode wont disengage and let me spin it freely,

If i force it a little it sometime becomes free, or i just have to reboot the camera.

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. New firmware but didn't solve the problem!
I would suggest not to force it to prevent any damage... should be a software problem....

this happened to me on a shoot and it turned out i had accidentally hit the full auto button and couldn't see the green light in the sun.
