Everyone recommends shooting w/ zebras peeking on a caucasians face at 70-75 ire. My DVX only goes down to 80 as an option, does this mean I should dial down to right before the zebra lines appear on a subjects face?
I like to use 80 as the upper limit to the whitest part of the face (where the key light is hitting) so yeah I'd just set it to 80 and wait till you just hit 80. I do let any reflected hotspots go above 80 though and just try to flag those off. I seem to shoot interviews with a bunch of shiny headed balding people... sadly headed there myself...
