IR T1 Filter for XDCAM EX

So have you got a pre order list? If so put me on it please.

Junior, has Tiffen set up some sort of "trade in" program for those of us who spent $200 on the 486 filters?
 
Be careful.

I read a post in DVinfo about this filter and 1 stop of compensation was mentioned along with "green cast".

I don't know if the problem is solved yet.
 
As far as I know this new filter does not have any green cast, I'm not sure about the light loss. I'm hoping someone who knows for sure can share. I've been waiting a long time for this filter, so let's hope it's a good solution to our problems.
 
I'll inform Tiffen about these concerns. They are asking dealers how many we are planning to order so they can do a forecast. Stay tuned for more info.

Aw, come on mate, can't make an exception for a well known collegue? I've got a few collegues who are also looking for one so it would be at least 3+ units, otherwise we'll only end up going to B&H.. Its just a filter ;-)
 
Bassman2003 - I tried google for what you cited on dvinfo and couldn't find anything. Do you have a link? How long ago did you read that?
 
the test filters from Tiffen have been reported to have a green tint to them that needs to be whitebalanced out, and knock off about a stop, but this isn't confirmed yet on the production ones. It might improve, but I doubt these changes will just go away with the produciton one...
