IR Remote

Hi guys,
Is there any trick to switching IR remote on, other than OTHERS>IR Remote>On,
right out of the box, removed isolating film from the remote, set it to "On" - nothing, is this a "user" problem?

It does not stay on once you power off the camera. It's a safety feature. You have to set it every time you use the remote. Also, you need to be in front of the camera.

I knew it'll off once you shut it, but that remote works only infront of the camera, wow,
and mine still does not rec/stop,

I think you can assign a button to enabling the IR remote rather than having to use the Menu each time.
