I am getting stable results with ipowells 75mbps highest peak with 24p wrapper checked; am I missing something?
 
Yes, it's "LPowell" and for the possessive case, you should insert an apostrophe before the "s".

And, BTW, if you enable the Native 24p patch, it will likely fail on the one shot you couldn't afford to miss.
 
what does the wrapper accomplish? and if you choose not to check the wrapper option can it be achieved easily into editing?

I am also getting 25pN stable in real world use. It will definitely lock up on deep focus static shots though - so just in case you didn't know that, be aware.

I consider the native advantage well worth the risk, but only because I am absolutely sure that I really understand the risk, because I have experimented by trying to create a camera lock-up under different scenarios.

I recommend you try taking a deep focus, static tripod shot of some grass on a windless day. For some bizarre reason, this high detail, zero motion type shot will cause any GH1 hacked camera with native checked to lock up every single time, meaning the shot is not recorded and the battery needs removing to resume camera functionality. That's why LPowell couldn't use it on the high reliability profile, but the choice is still there...

I"m beginning to think of a "Division by zero" problem here... However, it seems unlikely that there really is absolutely no movement or difference between consecutive frames. I've had the same experience and would love to investigate the firmware code, but I still have no means to do that.
 
Mine does not exhibit this for the most part. I have shot static grass, complex floor patterns (wood.. ganite... ect) sand..... only 1 in 1000 shots lock on me.

I could never ever nevr ever nwervwer nweahvwher imagine going back to that dumb ass wrapper. That wrapper was worse than mc hammer in "that's why we pray" when he stole Prince music.
