iPhone or Sidekick LX

well my contract with AT&T is about to expire and I don't know if I should switch to T-Mobile and get a sidekick or add $20 to my plan for web stay with AT&T and get an iPhone (no video bummer)
I basically check mail, myspace, ebay.
what do you guys recommend
any sidekick users, iphone users?

Because once you've touched it you can't go back to anything less than touchscreen. =\

Implementation of internet/email on the iPhone is hard to beat. Go check one out at an Apple store and see what you think.

I've seen both of them in action, I'm also concerned about the networks the run on
the rep at att said that is not a G3 network so pages don't load as fast.
while the sidekick has it's own, it's not with the rest of t-mobile's phones and also the keyboard is just easy to use.
I know both of 'em format the pages.

I love Tin-Tin.

Yeah, Tintin rocks! :)

There are almost certainly going to be 3g iPhones later this year, but that doesn't help you now. The Edge wireless isn't super fast but it's very usable. You'll be jonesing for a wi-fi network when you can't find one, but you'll still be able to surf and use googlemaps and whatnot...you'll just have to be a little more patient.

Obvously it depends where you live, but as far as phone coverage goes, I haven't had any problems. I live out in the country and the reception has improved a lot in the last year, so it seems they're working hard to build more towers.

awesome

Not to throw a wrench in here but I can't understand how anyone could even consider giving their money to AT&T...I mean how badly do you have to have your trust broken before you walk away?

That said,

the iphone touch screen is so amazing....it's awesome.

What is a reasonable total to expect for monthly bills on the iPhone if you plan on getting unlimited bandwidth? I hear around $60-80 a month for just one phone. That's too much for me, even though I can afford the initial cost of the phone itself.

Don't most other phone companies have unlimited bandwidth for ~$7 and prices in this range?

I have an iPhone with the 450 minute plan with 1500 txt and it comes to $81.82 with all taxes...

I know it's fashionable like them and just as fashionable to hate them but I've always been an apple guy and I'm very impressed by this phone, extremely easy to use and straight forward.

I know you can surf the internet on any phone but Safari/Mail on this is untouched in my eyes, the safari browser isn't some halfassed solution but rather an almost full scale browser (missing flash right now).

Granted yes Edge is pretty slow it gets through googlemaps and such and wifi spots aren't exactly hard to find these days if you want to burn some time on youtube.

The phone is virtually scratchproof, I don't baby mine at all and the screen is still perfect, I thought it was plastic before I bought it.
