iPhone nightmare - I can't wake up...

While mowing my lawn, I drove past a low branch on one of our trees and the branch grabbed the cord connecting my Bose Quit Comfort 2 headphones to my 16GB iPhone, pulling the cord off the headphones which dropped down under the mower deck, which pulled the iPhone along with it.

Here are the pieces that I could find:crybaby::

I'm confused, if it was 16 GB then it was a new iPhone 3G. That looks like the old 8 GB.

No, it was the old phone and a 16gb. I think they came out with the 16gb 2G phone in March of this year. I purchased the one you see here in April.

Update: I did have Apple replace it and then gave the replacement to my wife. Then I picked up a 3G for me self.

I just traded in my iPhone for a Blackberry, and it was one of the best decisions I've made in a while.

You might be able to get it covered on your homeowner's insurance (or even renter's insurance, except if you're mowing, I'm guessing you're a homeowner).
Call your agent and ask to make a liability claim.

The reduced price sounds nice, though.
