As IOS advances I'm needing an iPad Prompter solution.
Thanx in advance.
update: Just did a DVX search and came up with these so far -
PromptSmartPro
ProPrompter
Teleprompter Premium

We used to use the ProPrompter app and a mount they made for iPads. Worked pretty well for us in the field just mounting the iPad directly above the lens(and this was at least a decade ago).

I've been using Parrot on an iPad Air. Would be interested in seeing a feature comparison if you run across one.

The Glidegear TMP100 is good, been using one for over a year. Surprised at how useful it’s been and it was pretty cheap. I use ICue on my iPad, you can get a version for an iPhone as well which lets you control speed etc remotely.

Just bought this one too, but have been too busy to even open the box!

I’ve been using Teleprompter Premium for a few years now. It’s a pretty solid solution. Installation on a second iOS device allows for remote control, though I often use an HDMI dongle to extend to a second monitor so the operator can control through a Bluetooth keyboard.

I have also been using teleprompter premium for about a year now. No problems - works great - especially for times when you don't have that extra person to operate prompter - since you can set a time and it will scroll at that speed. Also use it with cheap bluetooth keyboard for times when an operator is necessary. Use either iPad Pro or iPad 9.7" with it.

Anyone using the voice activated Prompt Software with their iPad? Can't recall the name, there might be a few of them?
You start reading and the software adjusts the scroll speed based upon your read speed. Genius idea, I just don't know if it
works well?

I tried a few, I think the one I found most promising was Promptsmart. It worked well in testing but had a few freezes and my main client who needed a teleprompter just didn’t like it. I thought it was fine.

I went for iCue in the end which has been really robust - no crashes or freezes. I’ve used it a lot more than I thought I would, to the extent that I always have the teleprompter with me. I get scripts from clients the day before the shoot, edit them to get breathing space into the script and put section markers in (so I can move quickly back if a take has to be reshot) and then load them into iCue via Dropbox. It takes a couple of minutes to get the speed right but I do that while setting audio levels. Never had a problem with it and it’s saved a lot of time.
