ipad or Lens?

Personally I wouldn't go for either.
But that's because personally I hardly use lenses that long (I have a 150mm that barely gets used), and I'm not really a fan of the iPad in general. Don't get me wrong, I've owned (and still own) a few different tablets and can appreciate their usefulness at times, I just don't agree with everyone going gaga over Apple's.
If you are sitting down with one person to showcase your work, I suppose an iPad as a viewer would be a cute way to do it with a professional appearance. But if you are showing it to 2 or more people in a meeting, that screen is going to seem tiny very fast. I personally would prefer to bring along a laptop with a decent sized display (15"+) or even a PICO projector.
Yes, removable storage is pretty sweet. As well as USB ports. I love that I can take the card out of my camera on the spot and pop it into my Android or Windows Tablet for instant viewing on a bigger display.
But there's something about the Apple products that evokes an emotional response from people. Its not my thing (Apple's iOS ecosystem is too limiting for me), but I can understand why some people prefer it.
