invalid serial number?

I just received my camera from newegg.com. I went online to register for the rebate, but it says "please enter a valid serial number". What is going on here? I notice the warranty slip is from Panasonic Canada Inc. Broadcast & Television Systems Division. There is also a warranty from Panasonic Puerto Rico Inc. Is my camera a United States camera? If not, is it of lesser quality?

How can I still get the rebate, magic bullet, and dvx book? I'm new to this so any advice you can give will be very helpful.

All Canadian cameras have special thin film coating of maple syrup on the lens to reduce fogging up when shooting at minus forty. rogar-BigGrin(DBG)
