Dear other filmmakers that are reading this thread, my name is Michael Rees. I am a 16 year old aspiring filmmaker/director of photography. I recently finished working on my latest short film called "Inundate." If you guys have the time, I would love some constructive criticism on my work. I realize it's not perfect, but I worked very hard and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks!

First off, im amazed at your compositions, your shots, your lighting and editing for your age. Light years ahead of where i was when i got started (i started in my late 20's).

Now for the criticisms. You really sorta start messing up on the 180 rule as soon as the main character ages 20 years and is sitting on the table. You start with a close shot of him on the left side looking right, and then cut to a mid shot of him on the right side looking left. Since you havent really established the character much, or the clothing, i almost thought it was 2 differnt characters, its a bit disorienting.

You do this a bit more later as well.

All in all though, your audio was good, story was good, acting was also very nice.

Great film, keep it up
