GH2 INTRA GOP1 176M Hack = superb

Does this hack run 24p or 30p? Does it disable any hdmi monitoring when recording? Are all slow mo options off? Is it 4:2:0

Thanks

The hack runs at 24p, maintains hdmi monitoring when recording, and you can record 720 60p for slow motion at a higher bitrate than stock. Still 4:2:0.

Thanks. Last questions: I take it is intraframe? Have you pulled any keys on it? How did it perform? How flexible is its grading?

For whatever it's worth... It's still 4:2:0. As mentioned here, don't expect miracles. I see banding on mega studio bluray releases, which of course is 4:2:0

Sandisk Extreme SDHC 30MB/s cards are the best in my experience too. I haven't used the 45MB/s UHS1 cards, because I read reports of them not being as fast on the GH cameras due to some as yet unsupported technology used in them. Can anybody clarify on that?

Does the hack help with artifacting like at 1:42?

Don't trust what you see on youtube. It's at least two layers of compression removed from original source material. Those kinds of artifacts are obviously due to youtube. The raw footage I have filmed takes care of the annoying gradient banding issues you get from unhacked footage. I have had no trouble, even on blue sky footage.

Driftwood's latest Intra hack is even better quality. It's hard to explain how good the hack looks with this setting, the quality of the footage and the unique grain is very filmic. It captures the unique look of the sensor without throwing out any detail so it really does feel like a film stock. The Extreme HD Video 30/Mbs line. The 32GB are fine though the 16 are pretty cheap. Either one and you're set.

i have a uhs-1 Extreme 30mb/s card. There is no problems. I repeat, no problems. I think a lot of the people who are having problems simply come down to a faulty card, which was most likely a fake. i purchased mine from an authorized dealer.

Loaded up the driftwood's 176 patch and I love the way it looks, but lost in-camera audio playback. None of the audio settings were changed as far as I can tell. I get a few second of audio playback, then it starts to break up.
Using Sandisk extreme 30 mb/s 16Gb card. Audio is fine in FCP 7.
Are other people having this issue?
