intervalometer for GH2?

word

arnt all remote shutters the same, it just sends a little pulse of electricty to open the shutter and one to close it. surely they are all compatable with everything?

Can anyone tell me how to set up a timer for timelapse. I am using delay mode with one shot per 10 seconds with several hours but can only set to 99 shots? Do I use bulb? I've read manual 10 times and can't figure it out. Thanks

They are "all compatible with everything" if you can change the wire going into the camera. Panasonic wiring is different from Canon wiring.

For unlimited shots, set to "--" instead of 99

mr Justyn, which model tc did you boughted? I like to boughted one also. Is it hard to mount?

He bought the TC252. It just plugs into the remote jack and it hangs. No actual mount. Wire is straight, not coiled. Wire is not interchangeable.

That's true all... It just plugs in and hangs... I put on some velcro and or some gaffer tape and it's good to go.... It's really lightweight. THe only thing I don't like is that it's easy to turn on/off the switch... So I put a piece of tape on that to keep it off and/or keep it on..

For this unit, you just have to select the number of triggers to unlimited so effectily it'll go till the card runs out or the battery does... I started to use it with bulb tut now I'm using it by setting my own shutter and then just gestimating the exposure...

For the price it's really good.

I've contacted the seller and can confirm that it does work with the GH1. The maximum number of exposures is 399, which when shooting at 25 frames per second, is only about 16 seconds. I'm trying to find a intervalometer that I can do time lapses for up to a minute. Anyone have any ideas of other brands that allow for a greater number of exposures?

Did the seller tell you the max was 399 exposures? Because I have a JJC timer and it's actually unlimited exposures (as many as your card will hold) even though you can only specify 1 to 399. If you don't enter a number and set it to "--" instead it will keep on going until you either stop it or the card is full. This is probably common to a bunch of these timers.

Hi Justyn
I also have the TC 252 but I cannot get it to shot in a time lapse mode. How did you set yours to do this ? In the manual it says 99 is the max . Am I missing something ?

Thank you

Remember that most, if not all, of these intervalometers will trip the shutter without batteries in them. I have several. The one I use for time-lapse I of course need/use the batteries for, but for just taking a still or starting/stopping video, you don't need batteries in the thing.

Unless, of course, it's wireless :) Seriously, that's a good tip -- never even occurred to me that was possible.

I have the TW 282 and it works nice. It can be used with other cameras if you get those specific cables.

Hi, did you test TW 282 with LUMIX GH2? I would like to buy it, but I have read some conflicting info about functionality on LUMIX GH2 (it focuses, but does not fire).

I have bought the Pixel TC-252 from this british vendor (I am in Italy) and it works well with the Panasonic GH2.

The only thing is, you have to be careful that the cable's jack must be really into the timer, otherwise it does not make any contact and it does not work. This is not a defect, but if you are not aware you will probably spend some time trying to understand why yesterday it worked and today it does not work.

I went out and made a short time lapse.

Can you list the settings you used on the Pixel TC 252. I cannot for the life of me figure it out. Many thanks

When you get to that screen that says 99 hit the toggle in a direction, forgot cause I don't have it with me.. and then the number changes to a solid line... meaning unlimited. Yes, the documentation is terrible but the unit works great....
