I noticed that the DVX100B doesn't have the option of interval recording, but the 100A does. Is there any setting in the 100B that can manipulate that effect when trying to record a time lapse?
No, the ability was removed from the 100B. It has a new tape transport, different from the one in the 100A, and that new transport doesn't support the interval function.
I too was looking for this option, and was disappointed not to find it. I was discussing this with a coworker who suggested writing a program to capture from the camera to a computer @ adjustable intervals. I pieced some code together from the internet and came up with something to do just that. It's still a work in progress and a little rough, but it works well, capturing 30 sec of time-lapse footage an hr @ 24 fps.
I don't have the time or ability to upload and support it but I'd be glad to share it with someone who does.
