interval recording problems

so I'm shooting 30p interval recording and all I want to do is make the bloody camera stop recording! this seems simple and straighforward so I must be missing something but it certainly doesn't stop when I press the big red button.. I have been shooting at 2 second intervals, 15 seconds apart for 3-5 minutes at a stretch and the only way I have been able to stop the camera from continuing to record is by turning it off completely,, which doesn't seem right. I've looked in the manual and in Barry's book but have not been able to figure it out... am I doing something wrong or missing something stupidly easy or what?

thanks.

In Barry's book , page 83, it says you can't do interval recording in 24P, only 60i. This probably applys to 30P also.

That's the only way I have found to stop it from interval recording. Weird huh?

Nope, you can shoot in 30p for interval recording.

As a pal user i have the same problem. I can defenetly record in 25p mode but not stop the baby with the rec. button.......hmmmmmm, now why did they stop supporting the interval option on the 100b ???

I have done some interval recording on the 100a with great results, only way to stop is to turn it off as Barry said, but the results are always nice IMO
