Vocare,
Barry is right, of course. But what you can do is use the ONE-SHOT record mode. I have used it effectively by setting the record time to .5 second (I think that's the default). Then use the remote control to hit record. It will record for half a second. Then wait and hit record again after 30 seconds or 5 minutes or whatever interval you like. Of course, this isn't automatic like interval recording. But if you're patient and willing to take the time, you can achieve a similar result.

By the way, this is the most amazing forum I have seen anywhere! I can't tell you how much I've learned from all of you and how many hours I've spend reading the different threads.

I wanted to do time lapse with my 100b at the beach and disappointed that there is no ready function for that anymore :crybaby:

I think i'm going to do it with a canon 20d dslr instead. more work, but what can you do.

I've successfully sped up video taken over time, making it seem like time-lapse. It's not as good, since it tends to stick with the same white balance and exposure levels once it's recording, making a sunrise look less than optimal.

You cannot. There is no interval recording on the "b".

one stop record mode.
basically for this reason, i am using a powerbook to do interval recording.
as everything is recorded to powerbook, i can use it to do editing on it later on.
but just a concern, how do people do time lape for days and months.
is there a secret to it.
by framing to the same frame...
and the white balance?
any better solution ...
