International commercial shot with hvx

Hi everyone,

I had an idea for a TIDE commercial. I entered it into a contest. The people at Proctor and Gamble loved it. The last leg of the contest was an online vote. We lost (sort of), so TIDE asked to use the commercial anyways (and that we would get paid and the contracts were being sent). We met them in Cincinnati and all went well. The funny thing is, we shot it on an HVX...with DV tape. Its till looks pretty good, I think and the P and G people I think were pretty surprised.
The commercial started airing on the 18th of September during "The Office" on NBC and will continue for at least 5 more weeks on all networks.
Things have come a long way.....
Anyways, if anyone hasn't seen it yet, here's a link:

Congratulations! Really liked this - actors did a great job & production was top notch except for the last couple of seconds. Glad to see it got picked up!

Thanks! The last couple of seconds? If you mean the product shot at the end-that's what TIDE did.

Oh, and they aren't actors-they're my friends. We shot this in 30 minutes including set up :)

That's really quite extraordinary. If they're not professional actors then all we can do is chalk it up to a combination of raw talent under excellent direction - seriously.

Well done

and yes it was the tide pen shots which were sub-par.

That's a great compliment-thank you very much!
Hopefully I have that kind of success with the short film (my first) that I am shooting next week in California! ( I live in Canada ). Again, thanks for the kind words! :)

Shibby!
