Internal P2 Dub to Tape Question

Hello,

Help!!!

I've dubbed over P2 footage (16:9, 720 24pn) within camera. Some clips transfered over as 16:9, some did not. The camera displays "SQU" on the LCD during tape playback for those clips that did not transfer as 16:9.

Could someone please explain what set up is required to get 16:9 to dub as 16:9 on to tape?

Never mind...I figured it out.

so, i know how to get into dub mode but i don't know how to get the clips to start transfering. any help?

I'm having the same issue as the original poster, only I haven't figured it out so quickly... Pg 86 isn't quite answering it...

It will only ever dub to 16:9. The source footage is HD, which is always 16:9, and the destination footage is "squeeze" mode, which means native standard-def 16:9.

You cannot get an HVX to dub its HD footage to 4:3, it's always going to 16:9.
