Internal Color Bar Question

I am unable to bring up and ultimately record bars with my DVX100. When I load the bars into USER 1 or 2. They will not show up, I am able to do black fades and whatever, but no bars. THEN, when I go into CAMERA SETUP and go down to COLOR BAR it says OFF. I am unable to get the blue OFF to an ON?

Any answers to this probably easy question. Would be great!
