Internal and external mics not working

Hi all - I've never used this forum before, but I have a new DVX100 that was working fine a few weeks ago, but suddenly audio has stopped working. I've checked the audio levels, the phantom power, the line inputs, all that, and both the internal and external mics don't work. Also, there aren't any bars for the audio meter. Am I missing something obvious? Any help would be appreciated.

this happend to one of our cameras, we had to get the whole board replaced ($800+) . I'm thinking somebody plugged it into a sound board with out switcing the mic/line switch!

Thanks for the info - I figured I was in trouble when the internal mic stopped working.
