GH2 Interesting Voigtlander 25mm f/0.95 ETC sharpness issue

I notice that when you use the ETC with the Voigtlander 25mm f/0.95 that when you focus it tends to stay soft. But once the record button is pressed the inage clicks into sharpness. And the eventual video is sharp as well of course. But with the 14-140mm there is not the same difference between the live view and once the recording starts.

That's not a lens issue... it's a ETC issue. It's just more noticeable with sharper lenses.

What is ETC?

ETC is sensor crop mode. Takes the middle 1920x1080 (or 1280x720 or whatever) pixels of the sensor, instead of downsampling the whole 16 MP sensor down like normal. It gives nearly as good of quality as regular mode (depending on light and lens) and narrows the field of view, effectively doubling+ the focal length of your lens.
