Interesting SxS Comparison Test

Looks like an order of magnitude 3x faster. Certain fanbois will now claim that's proof that Sony conspired to deny us cheap media and 4.2.2 onboard recording. However, class 10 SDHC wasn't available back when the basic XDCAM designs were done. It may lead to something better in the future though.

We can always hope. Remember, SDHC capability wasn't within the original EX1 specs. Can you imagine another paid firmware that gave you 4.2.2 internally? Its not the sensor or the recording media that is the limitation. Its the internal processing.

Yes, on the Nano, the F700, etc we know that to be true, but we don't know which chip set the F3 has.

If firmware can make it output 4.4.4 then its handling 4.4.4 internally and the codec is being changed from a 4.2.2 output that it has now to 4.4.4.

I don't have high hopes, but its a possibility that no one can yet rule out even if not a probability. They would probably name it the F4.
