Interesting little problem...

Hi all,

Just want to share an interesting problem, if I may. Hopefully I'll have fixed it real soon, though if anyone can offer an explanation I'd be keen to hear it..

So, I've used my GH1 hacked with the Blackout-Powell native 24p Standard Patch (running in PAL) for over two years without a problem - not a glitch, not a worry. Reliable as you can get - I've shot professional, corporate shite with it and I've never once been concerned about crashes or card errors.

Last week I saw a used GH1 + 14-140mm lens come up at B&H so I grabbed it for the workshops I teach - another body is always nice to have. I hacked it with the same patch I used for my original body, figured it'd be just as reliable.

Anyway, first shoot I'm on - ten minutes in - I get the "Motion Recording was cancelled due to a limitation from the writing speed of the card" error on the new body. I swap cards, two minutes later, same error. I put the card from my old body in the new, two minutes, same error. I grab my old body, same card - I start getting the error!

Now both camera bodies are giving me errors with all my cards, sometimes it will happen every five minutes, sometimes not for 20. It's like I've transmitted a stupidity glitch between the two by sharing cards.

Anyway, I'm going to re-hack both bodies with a different patch tonight, I shall post the results soon.
