interchangeable lenses?

will you be able to use all your DVX lenses (wideangle, fisheye, anamorphic, etc.) with the new HVX?..

i just can't seem to find the lens diameter of the cam anywhere!.

No, you won't be able to use any of them. The HVX is 82mm, the DVX is 72mm.

Other kinds of accessories, like zoom controllers and batteries, will be compatible. But the HVX lens is physically bigger and so it can't accomodate DVX laccessory lenses.

Barry is correct, the filter mounting threads are larger and if there is a bayonet for the shade (like on the DVX100/100a) that we use to mount most of the accessories on the DVX it will also be larger and not compatible.

On the surface the larger filter diameter would seem to imply a larger lens that would require larger accessories and the higher resolution format may also require newer/better accessory lenses, but until we can actually test a camera we cannot know for sure about the optical requirements.

It is possible that some accessories, like our 1.6X tele will work but would require a mechanical change to fit the new camera, so the idea of using the same attachment on both the new HVX200 and the older DVX100 would be problematic.
