intel film festival

I like to consider myself an amateur film maker of sorts, although I'm only a beginner and I spotted this yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/intelfilmfestival

Intel are running a comp to win tix for the venice film festival (as well as an intel laptop) - you have to make a short film to enter, but they also have a selection of cool little filming tips which as a beginner, I found really useful/insightful. The guys presenting it are pretty funny too.

Hopefully someone else here will find them as useful as I did!

P.S. Meant to say I think I might try and enter, worth trying for a new laptop!

All material submitted including the video becomes the sole property of Intel and will not be returned.

Might want to look into this part. Sounds to me like they will own your work

Europe, Middle East & Africa

This offer is open to residents of Austria, Czech, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary,Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland,Turkey, UK, and UAE only.

Sorry my fellow Americans, this one is not for you. If you have a good one though, maybe it could be a co-production .

Oh give me a break. If it's in north America, then it's US residents only, but if it's in Europe, suddenly many if not most european countries can enter?

Being Canadian sucks sometimes.

This is why you put your logo or name in the bottom right corner and in random places of the video at low opacity. Owned.

Those tips aren't bad actually. So many "tip" films are boring. That guy in the yellow top is classic! Pole Cam is a nice idea, although I'm sure theyve got the wrong name.
