Insurance?

I just spent on camera equipment, what some spend on their first home.

How are others handling coverage of their equipment?

For example; are you protected from breakage, or just theft?

My local agent is having a hard time coming up with an adequate plan for us.

Inland & Marine policy (old-time name) .... covers everything, incl. breakage. About $500/yr to cover a HPX package & some basic acces. A Must.

you should check if that policy covers a camera used for commercial purposes - most low cost policies exlude that - you usually need a DICE policy which will be a couple thousand

Specifically insured for commercial use. Yep. Your insurance broker mileage may vary.

Still struggling trying to obtain coverage for breakage.

Inland Marine only covers theft (at least that is what my agent tells me)
