Insurance for the JVC?

We had a pretty bad flood at our offices last weekend, causing much damage to carpets, papers and such - but, luckily, little to our equipment and none to the JVC.

But it did put a scare into me. At this point I don't have insurance for any of the equipment. Not sure if I should get renters insurance, or if some other type of insurance better fits the small movie company.

Any ideas out there? Thanks....

I have insurance on my gear through all state for up to 25k. They'll only do single items up to 5k, but the coverage was only $100 per year and it covers everything, replacement cost too.

With all due respect, I was just joking, the HVX is one heck of a camera!

Yes, they are quite nice. I have one sitting on my desk, it makes an excellent paper weight. :kali:

Most people in the video business that I know use Hartford Insurance for
their liability and equipment coverage as they are one of the few that
still writes an Inland/Marine policy meaning that the equipment is covered
anywhere for whatever reason. National phone number is 800-467-8730.

Once again...

Here in Atlanta, I was quoted $150 for an Inland/Marine policy to cover my HD-100 from a local State Farm Insurance agent.
