Instand HD, have anyone try it with dvx

Hey all,
need some advice i want go purchase Instand HD for my dvx.
with fcp 5.1, have anyone try it?
whats the different in quality btw instant HD compare with HDV from z1
and Dvcpro50 from hvx.

I used Instant HD to upconvert 40 min of DVX footage with material shot on a Varicam. The results were supprisingly good. The material was not fast paced but had slow pans and all on tripod except about 5 min of handhled with some Dutch angles. The lighting/exposure was right on. If you have poor lighting you will simply amplify noise and fast paced or fast moving will generate some artifacing.

You need to watch oversharping as this amplifys artifacts. I can't give you a comparision between footage form different cameras.

Remember you can't add pixels that are not there form the beginning. You are streatchinh the exsisting digital content and electronically processing the pixels to minimize aliasing and edge detail.

The product works well with well shot footage especially if your display device is 42" or less. If your going up from their the diiferences will become much more noticiable.

have you used any other hd camera before?
heard from the rest, thats the dvx with instand hd can match the quality of jvc hd cam.
have u compare the quality ?
