Installing graphics card on a MAC, difficult?

No. Would you be replacing the present card (AGP slot) or adding an additional one with a PCI interface? Either way it should be pretty much plug and play.....wear a static guard wristband.
 
Not hard at all. Just make sure to discharge all your static (I usually do my internal computer tinkering in my furnace room, unfinished cement floor, with no socks = minimal static).

As David S said, do not force ANYTHING.
