When I found out about this project I was ecstatic, and I have finally gotten around to doing all the steps to install it on my camera. I don't think it is working on mine. I have tried to search these threads for an answer, as I don't want to add to its craziness, but I could not find solutions.
So, here are my 2 questions.
1. How do I check if the firmware is installed? 1.3 could be anything.
2. How should the installation process in the camera go? Let me explain what happened to me to understand the question.
My steps condensed=
1. bought camera early 2010
2. Update camera to most recent official firmware
3. dl ptool and ipowell's Reliable In-Camera Playback Patch Settings File
4. open ptoll, open official firmware, select ipowell's
5. format sd card in camera
6. move new GH1_133.bin to sdcard, return to camera
7. turn on camera, press play, and select update firmware.
Here the process begins, but stops midway and asks me to turn the camera off.
So, any help would be appreciated and I would be willing to do some organization of the information in the project. Maybe along the lines of openttd.org and its wiki.
