Hey - if anyone can shed light on this that would rock. Don't know a ton about the DVX-100 except that when shooting 24p Avanced you have to set the pull down correctly.
Brief: Shot 24p Advanced / cut in Avid in a 23.976p project.
*I inherited this and everything was already captured and rough cut of the movie done.
Problem: I see major interlacing every fourth frame I think. Very visible on my JVC studio monitor and slightly visible on the flat screen computer monitor.
More info: there are two scenes shot last in this production that do not show ANY interlacing on the normal studio monitor or the computer screen.
DVD: if I burn a normal interlaced DVD the interlacing is visible on that. If I burn a progressive DVD it is barely visible...but still something doesn't seem right.
I'm hoping I don't have to recapture everything. Why would the last scenes show no interlacing at all? I'm guessing either stuff was captured differently or the DP shot in standard mode or something on those last two scenes.
