Hey guys, I'm new to the GH2. I absolutely love it. My problem is this.. Is there a way to get infinity focus with the standard 42mm lens that comes with it, or the Panasonic lumix pancake lens 20mm 1.7.

Thanks so much

I am afraid my GH2 has no infinity focus issues with my 20mm, nor with my 14-45, nor with any other lenses I have. I have to conclude that something is wrong with your lens mount?

Is there q special setting for infinity focus?? I have it on auto focus so it's always searching for new items to focus on but maybe I am not doing something correctly?

Just set it to manual focus.....sorted

manual focus and close your aperture down? i would have thought closing the aperture would have been the obvious answer?

I can't figure it out. I turn it to manual but only the shutter speed changes..?? How do I change the Fstop in manual mode. Sorry for being a noob. I don't have my manual and I'm on the road for a few weeks...

To toggle between shutter speed and F stop press the back dial in rather than rolling it(the same dial you use to change shutter speed)

Infinity focus, on the top lefthand side of the camera there is a dial for changing Autofocus modes (face detection, object tracking, multiple point and single point) . On the bottom half/left of this dial there is a small rotary switch that changes the camera between Manual Focus, Autofocus continuous and Autofocus single. Change it to MF(manual focus) you can now rotate the focus barrel on the lens and a focus bar will appear on the LCD, move all the way to the right for infinity focus
