Infamous: a web-series production blog

Thanks! I can't wait to get all the episodes out! And like Mentatduke, I wish you could see them in full HD. Hopefully we will do some kind of DVD release after the web series.

Thursday....every thursday is a new installment. This thursday, the episode has appearances by Mike O'Hearn (Titan of American Gladiators and possibly Captain America) and Sam Witwer (Force Unleashed, Battlestar, Smallville)

Finally found some time to watch this. Funny stuff! I enjoyed the second episode more than the first... the rivalries between the characters are fun. This was staged nicely. You have several different mini-scenes taking place within the same location, keeping the energy level up.

I'm curious about the vignetting on the image... why was that done?

Thanks...I think the second episode is fun because we see more of the world that Tom and Anthony live in...Now you can see these characters peppered in through the rest of the series. Next week you get to meet another new character, Cowgirl Stripper....

As for the vignetting, it was an issue we were facing with a particular lens on the M2/MicroX, and the director decided to keep it in post instead of zooming past it. When I was editing, I decided to add the magic bullet effect, making the footage less clean, giving it a grain and a strong S Curve. The goal was to try and make it look like 16mm...though in some cases the lighting wouldn't allow it...

This was a really great episode. Everything was turned up a notch. The dialogue, acting, production value, and most notably, the lighting. I really enjoyed this, and am liking the supporting characters, not to mention an increased fondness for the main characters.

The lighting and coloring looked markedly polished on this episode. The 1st episode and 2nd episode are almost night and day, visually. Were they both shot with the same camera, lens, and lighting package? This episode looks sharper and a lot cleaner. Higher lens stop perhaps?

Great job on this. This could be the spiritual successor to Grosse Point Blank. Feature anyone? Looking forward to next Thursday.

Thanks:) I think each episode has it's own feel, but they were all shot with the same camera/lenses. Partially I think it had to do with the crew finding their rhythm, and what the show was going to feel like. The first episode was our first day of shooting.

But I agree in that I love the supporting characters. We start to see the world a lot more. Trust me when I say, it was tough to do in 4 minutes!

I love how the henchman whispers "Gay" in the boss's ear. Quick sidebar gags like that are breakfast of champions. Ha.

Yeah, Mike O'Hearn is really funny, and I hope his acting career starts taking off...He would be a great Captain America! I think people don't give him the credit of being a good actor just because he's so huge, and hasn't had a ton of acting opportunities beyond soaps.

HAHAHAHA!!! Actors making ends meet as hitmen!!! Too Funny.

And Scene.

Love the AIDS reference too.

Doug Spice in the house!!!
