Inexpensive HDCAM transfer?

Not sure if this is the correct area to post this, but figureed someone here might have some insight..... i'm looking for an inexpensive post-house in the Los Angeles area to do an HDCAM transfer from an HD quicktime file for a 15min short film. Anyone know of any good places? First quote I received was for $450-$500, but that just seems ridiculously expensive (or is it?). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. =) THANK YOU!

I don't know about LA but in DC my gut tells me that is pretty high.

You might want to think about buying a HDCAM Tape yourself and giving them that to do it on. They can get you with those tape costs.
